A tube which forms part of the handle has a spring inside which is tensioned to achieve the desired torque, is fitted to the valve and attached to the existing valve handle. When the handle is rotated in the open direction the spring tension is increased and in turn the torque is increased. (Therefore effort to hold the valve can be reduced to suit customer requirements).
When the handle is released the handle will snap back into the close direction.
It is therefore recommended that personal using such equipment must be trained to prevent injuries.
Ensure you have a good footing before operating.
The torsion spring concept is a coil spring fixed to the existing valve handle by rotating the valve handle torque is created on the valve spindle through the spring and the valve will close when the handle is released.
